Derek Allen
With more than twenty years' experience, Derek Allen leads a team of advisers working with owner-managers in the Thames Valley area helping them to create successful businesses and develop exit / succession strategies, particularly in the marketing communications industry. Having graduated from Loughborough University as a Production Engineer, Derek began his career with Hamworthy Engineering and Molins Tobacco Machinery. After two years postgraduate study at Henley, he then made a change of direction by joining Avon Cosmetics.
Derek's consultancy career started with Neville Clarke in 1984, followed by a move to BDO Binder Hamlyn. In 1989 he set up his own company and is a founding partner of The CMC Partnership Limited. Derek has worked with more than 200 clients ranging from multi-nationals through to small, privately owned businesses.
