Wayne Dobson
Wayne is an experienced business manager and entrepreneur. Following his degree, in International Marketing and German, his first job was in sales, marketing and business development, with a German company selling industrial adhesives and sealants. He then returned to the UK to set up his own business, using his fluent German and local knowledge to sell to the German market.
In 1999, Wayne and a partner set up the Aventi Group, producing and selling consumer electronics and computer peripherals, and publishing and distributing DVD movies across France. Aventi grew to a £30m-plus turnover company in 5 years and Wayne has now part-exited the business.
Wayne brings to CMC his comprehensive entrepreneurial experience. Having started and successfully grown his own businesses in Germany, France and the UK, he has the expertise and experience to provide impactful advice and help to SME's looking to do the same. He also contributes extensive international and export market knowledge, and his ability to conduct business in fluent German and near-fluent French.
Wayne is married with three children, likes skiing and golf, and lives in Durham.
